The Nova Scotia government has extended the lease for The Bridge, Dartmouth's largest shelter, until March 31, 2025, allocating $19 million in funding. The facility, which opened in May 2023, offers 558 shelter beds across the province and has provided on-site health services and shelter to 185 homeless individuals monthly since its opening. Since May, 42 residents have advanced to housing options.
