Miami Seaquarium given weeks to vacate by Miami-Dade County due to animal care violations and dolphin/whale deaths.

Miami-Dade County has given the Miami Seaquarium weeks to vacate its government-owned campus after a string of federal inspection reports alleged poor care of animals. The notice terminates the Seaquarium's county lease, bringing the county closer to ejecting the Seaquarium from its home of nearly 70 years. The decision comes after multiple reports of violations and at least 120 dolphins and whales dying in captivity at the facility.
