In Kenya, Maasai women rangers, a part of Team Lioness, patrol the vast plains in the foothills of Mount Kilimanjaro to combat poaching and break traditional patriarchal prejudices. They track wildlife and arrest poachers, like the man who butchered a giraffe in 2022. Despite their success in conservation, many of these women rangers face challenges in overcoming deep-rooted societal biases within the Maasai community.
