A federal court has banned the use of dicamba, a controversial pesticide commonly used in the Midwest, citing its tendency to drift and impact non-target crops. The EPA approved it in 2017 for genetically engineered corn and soybean crops, but its drifting properties make it difficult for farmers to control. Although the ruling bans future production, it does allow existing stocks to be used.
