The Edmonton Oilers have acquired defenseman Troy Stecher from the Arizona Coyotes in exchange for a fourth-round pick in 2027. Stecher, 29, has appeared in 47 games this season and will become an unrestricted free agent this summer with a $1.1 million cap hit for 2023-24. The deal also includes a seventh-round pick in 2024, and there is no salary being retained in the transaction. Stecher previously played for the Vancouver Canucks, Detroit Red Wings, Los Angeles Kings, and Calgary Flames before joining the Coyotes.
