The Colorado Avalanche traded draft picks for forwards Brandon Duhaime and Yakov Trenin from Minnesota Wild and Nashville Predators respectively.

The Colorado Avalanche have traded a 2026 third-round NHL Draft pick for forward Brandon Duhaime from the Minnesota Wild. In a separate deal, they acquired forward Yakov Trenin and the rights to unsigned draft pick Graham Sward from the Nashville Predators in exchange for defenseman Jeremy Hanzel and a 2025 third-round draft pick. Duhaime has eight points (four goals, four assists) in 62 games this season, while Trenin recorded 14 points in 60 games. Both players are set to become unrestricted free agents this summer.
