Co-op's Charlie caterpillar cake emerged as the winner in a blind taste test conducted by consumer rights group Which?, beating M&S's original Colin and other supermarket versions. The trial scored the cakes for their sponge, buttercream, and chocolate flavour, awarding the Co-op's caterpillar cake a 72% score and a "Best Buy" recommendation. M&S's Colin came in second with a 71% score and a "Best Buy" recommendation as well.
