A14 between Newmarket and Red Lodge reopened two lanes after a week of flooding and water extraction.

The A14 between Newmarket and Red Lodge reopened two lanes after a week of flooding, which required the extraction of over 12 million litres of water, equivalent to five Olympic-sized swimming pools. The remaining lane remains closed with a 40mph speed limit in place. National Highways teams, along with the Environment Agency, are working around the clock to clear floodwater and resolve the issue.
