Aldi completes its acquisition of Southeastern Grocers, parent company of Winn-Dixie and Harveys Supermarket. As part of this acquisition, Aldi plans to add 800 stores across the US by 2028, investing $9bn in the expansion. The company will convert a significant number of Winn-Dixie and Harveys Supermarket stores into Aldi locations, while also opening new stores in the Southeast region.
