31-year-old Candise Griffin, the mother of a 3-year-old who was fatally shot in Charlotte last month, has been charged with involuntary manslaughter. The toddler reportedly got hold of an unsecured firearm in their home on Eastway Drive, resulting in his death, despite being rushed to the hospital for treatment. Griffin turned herself in at the Mecklenburg County Sheriff’s Office on March 5th.
