Theatre tax relief rates remain at 40% and 45% for touring productions, benefiting UK performing arts.

Lord Andrew Lloyd Webber, Sir Cameron Mackintosh, and Sir Sam Mendes welcome new permanent tax relief rates for theatre productions, which have been described as a "lifeline for performing arts" and will "ensure Britain remains the global capital of creativity." Chancellor Jeremy Hunt announced that theatre tax relief rates will remain at 40% and 45% for touring productions, instead of decreasing to 35% and 30% in April 2025 and returning to pre-pandemic rates in 2026.
