Sheriff William Snyder of Martin County will not seek re-election in 2025.
Martin County Sheriff William Snyder announced he will not run for re-election, completing his fourth term in 2025. Snyder, who was elected in 2012, plans to endorse Chief Deputy John Budensiek for the November election. Snyder's law enforcement career spans 45 years, having served in the Florida House of Representatives and the Miami-Dade Police Department before becoming sheriff.
