Prince Edward County Mayor Steve Ferguson expressed deep disappointment over the federal denial of a $14.2M application to create affordable housing at the former Queen Elizabeth School. The funds were intended to acquire the property and create affordable housing units and a community hub, with the project supported by provincial, school board and community partners since 2019.
