Nigerian House of Representatives urges ministries, agencies to address prescription policy and drug abuse.
The Nigerian House of Representatives called for the Federal Ministry of Health to develop a prescription policy to tackle the indiscriminate sale of drugs and drug abuse. The motion, led by Adamu Gamawa, also urged the Pharmacy Council of Nigeria to close all illegal pharmaceutical outlets. The House also urged NDLEA and NAFDAC to collaborate with SON, Ministry of Information, and National Orientation to raise drug abuse awareness.
