In the 2nd T20I between Sri Lanka and Bangladesh, Soumya Sarkar's dismissal was controversially overturned by third umpire Masudur Rahman. Sarkar was initially given out by on-field umpire Sharfuddoula, but successfully reviewed the decision. Rahman overturned it citing a "clear gap" between the bat and ball, which angered Sri Lanka. Despite the controversy, Bangladesh won the match, leveling the series 1-1.
