Naples unveils new, fire-resistant "Venus of the Rags" sculpture by Michelangelo Pistoletto after previous version destroyed in arson attack.

Naples unveiled a new version of "Venus of the Rags," a famous open-air installation by Italian artist Michelangelo Pistoletto, after the previous version was destroyed in an arson attack last year. The new sculpture, installed in Piazza del Municipio, is made of fire-resistant material and features the Roman goddess of love, beauty, and fertility standing next to a pile of rags. A symbol of the Arte Povera movement, the artwork has been exhibited in museums worldwide.
