An Odisha court has sentenced five individuals to death for the murder of local political leader Rama Chandra Behera in 2019. Behera, a former block chairman, was killed over past enmity. The court's verdict was based on testimonies from 53 witnesses and 94 documents. One of the accused, Pramod Das, was a minor at the time and is currently in judicial custody at a child care institute.
