Gov. Tony Evers has signed a bill authorizing $740m in funding for construction projects at the University of Wisconsin, including a new $347m engineering building at UW-Madison. The bill, approved as part of a deal between the state Legislature and the UW Board of Regents, also allocates funds for dorm renovations at UW-Whitewater and utility and demolition projects across the system.
