Diego Costa Silva, accused of murdering his wife, told gardaí that he heard voices in his head telling him "sometimes you have to behead somebody because this person is possessed". He also confessed to cheating on his wife and believed she would try to kill him. He pleaded not guilty to the murder of Fabiola Camara De Campos Silva on November 4, 2021. The Central Criminal Court jury has been informed they will be asked to return a special verdict under the Criminal Law (Insanity) Act 2006.
