Broadcom introduces 5nm PCIe Gen5/6 retimers with CXL support and PEX switches for AI server fabric.
Broadcom unveiled the world's first 5nm Peripheral Component Interconnect Express (PCIe) solutions, including PCIe Gen5/Gen6 retimers with Compute Express Link (CXL) support. Combined with PEX switches, they create an open, flexible AI server fabric ecosystem. Broadcom's PCIe Gen 5.0 switches are already broadly deployed for interconnecting AI infrastructure, and the company plans to launch PCIe Gen7 solutions soon.
