2024 British Open golf tournament lowers age limit for winners to 55 years.

The British Open golf tournament has reduced the age limit for its winners to 55 years, starting from the current year, and further reducing it to 55 from 2024. This change is part of a series of updates to exemption categories, including top players from Japan, Asian, Australian, and South African tours, and the new Africa Amateur champion. The 152nd Open will be held at Royal Troon in Scotland on July 18-21.
