BMC withdraws 15% water cut in Mumbai after Pisé pumping station transformer repair.
The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has announced the withdrawal of the 15% water cut in Mumbai from March 6, as the transformer at the Pisé pumping station has been repaired after a fire incident last week. All 20 pumps have been restored at the pumping station. In addition, the BMC plans to install 481 dewatering pumps in low-lying areas across Mumbai during the monsoon season to prevent waterlogging.
