42-year-old man from Manchester was arrested on March 5 after a police chase involving a van carrying suspected heroin packages. Cheshire Police initially tried to stop the van, but it failed to stop and a high-speed pursuit ensued. The van crashed through a barrier and into a multi-storey car park at Manchester Airport. The driver was arrested on suspicion of various drug-related charges and remains in custody, with a large quantity of heroin recovered from the M56.
