Trucking company boss Simiona Tuteru has been sentenced to 200 hours of community work and a three-year community corrections order for failing to comply with his duty to keep others safe. This follows a crash on Melbourne's Eastern Freeway in April 2020, which killed four police officers. Tuteru, who initially faced four counts of manslaughter, later pleaded guilty to a single heavy vehicle offense for failing to meet his duties in the chain of responsibility.
