University of Montpellier study links refined carbohydrate consumption to lower facial attractiveness ratings in men and women.

A recent study from the University of Montpellier suggests a link between refined carbohydrate consumption and lower facial attractiveness ratings in both men and women. The study, involving 104 French male and female adults, found that participants who consumed high-glycemic breakfasts had lower subsequent facial attractiveness ratings, while high-energy food consumption was associated with higher attractiveness ratings. Further research is needed to understand the relationship between refined carbohydrates and social traits like attractiveness.
