Outsourcing giant Capita reported a £107m loss in 2023 due to a £25m cyber attack and lower revenues. The company, which collects the BBC licence fee and recruits for the Army, has announced plans to save £100m per year from 2024, rising to a further £100m per year in 2025. Capita is cutting around 900 jobs as part of its plan to save £60m annually and aims to achieve further savings by mid-2025.
