A 55-year-old senior constable from Queensland's far north region has been charged with four counts of rape and two counts of sexual assault. The offences are alleged to have occurred while he was off-duty and are further alleged to involve a known victim. The officer has been suspended from the police force and is due to appear in Cairns Magistrates Court on 21 March.
