38-year-old Juan Correa was fatally shot during an altercation on Lane Road, Gaston County, on March 2 at 7:35 pm. Police responded to a reported cardiac arrest and found Correa suffering from gunshot injuries but despite life-saving measures, he succumbed to his injuries. The other individual involved in the altercation has been identified, but no arrests have been made. The investigation is ongoing.
