UnitedHealth Group allegedly paid $22 million ransom to Blackcat ransomware group for data recovery.

A post on a hacker forum claims that UnitedHealth Group paid a $22 million ransom to recover data encrypted by the Blackcat ransomware group. Neither UnitedHealth nor the hackers involved have commented on the alleged payment, but a cryptocurrency tracing firm partially corroborated the claim. The forum post, dated Sunday, said a partner of Blackcat was responsible for the intrusion into UnitedHealth.
