A14 in Cambridgeshire, between Newmarket and Red Lodge, has experienced severe flooding on the eastbound stretch due to exceptional rainfall. One lane remains closed, and over 8 million liters of water, equivalent to nearly three Olympic-sized swimming pools, have been removed. National Highways and the Environment Agency are working together to address the issue, which has become a regional priority.
