Azerbaijan increased its natural gas imports from Turkmenistan by 77% in 2023, importing a total of 1.51 billion cubic meters compared to 857 million cubic meters in 2022. The value of these imports rose by 96.8% to $218.22 million, up from $110.87 million in 2022. This contributed to a 44.5% increase in overall trade turnover between Azerbaijan and Turkmenistan, reaching $773.9 million in 2023.
