San Francisco-based HR tech startup Deel acquires PaySpace, expanding its presence in Africa and entering the enterprise market.

Deel, a San Francisco-based HR tech startup, has acquired Africa-based payroll and HR software and services company PaySpace in its largest acquisition to date. The deal strengthens Deel's presence in Africa and follows its recent purchase of Munich-based Zavvy, an AI-based "people development" startup. Deel's acquisition of PaySpace, which has over 14,000 customers in 44 countries, will help it expand into the enterprise market and solidify its position in Africa.
