The NSW Government seeks an experienced operator to lease the historic former Newcastle railway station for up to 99 years. The station, known as "The Station," has been partially restored and has tourism zoning, with potential uses as a hotel, bar, or restaurant. The NSW government aims for a longer-term lease arrangement to secure capital investment for the site's recovery and preservation. Expressions of interest are being accepted until 2 May 2024.
