A woman in Louisiana fatally stabbed a twice-convicted sex offender, Nicholas Tranchant, at a laundromat after he allegedly attempted to sexually assault her. The incident occurred on March 3. The woman, who was also injured, claimed it was self-defense and fled the scene. Tranchant was found unresponsive with a visible stab wound and was later pronounced dead at a nearby hospital.
