Lighthouse Funds, a mid-market consumer and healthcare-focused fund, has invested ₹229 crore in Safari Industries, an Indian luggage manufacturer. The investment is the second from Lighthouse's newly-raised fourth private equity fund, Lighthouse India Fund IV AIF. Lighthouse Funds believes that the Indian luggage market, benefiting from increasing leisure travel and wedding spends, is well-positioned to capitalize on structural tailwinds in the sector.
