Kerala set a new record in domestic tourist arrivals in 2023, attracting 2,18,71,641 visitors, a 15.92% increase over the previous year. Ernakulam district welcomed the highest number of domestic tourists, followed by Idukki, Thiruvananthapuram, Thrissur, and Wayanad. International tourist arrivals also increased by 87.83%, with 6,49,057 visitors in 2023 compared to 3,45,549 in 2022.
