Former Singaporean Transport Minister S. Iswaran, on corruption charges, was granted an additional 16 days to remain in Australia due to illness. His lawyers filed an application for the extension, which was approved by the State Courts. The prosecution did not object to the extension, as long as Iswaran met enhanced bail conditions.
