Azerbaijan joins the Global Methane Pledge, committing to a 30% methane reduction by 2030.
Azerbaijan has joined the Global Methane Pledge initiative, committing to reduce global methane emissions by at least 30% by 2030. Launched by the US and EU at COP26, 155 countries including Azerbaijan, accounting for nearly half of global methane emissions, have signed the pledge. Azerbaijan ratified the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change in 1995 and the Kyoto Protocol in 2000.
