Activist Olukoya Ogungbeje filed a lawsuit at the Federal High Court in Lagos against Nigerian telecom companies, including MTN, Airtel, Glo, and 9Mobile, over the recent barring of phone lines. He also included the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) and its CEO, Dr. Aminu Mada. Ogungbeje claims N10bn damages for the unlawful restrictions on phone lines of Nigerians who did not link their numbers with their National Identification Number (NIN).
