19-year-old Vaibhav Gupta from Kanpur has won the 14th season of Indian Idol, a popular singing reality show. Gupta, who defeated fellow contestants Subhadeep Das Chowdhury from Kolkata and Piyush Panwar from Rajasthan, received a cash prize of Rs 25 lakh and a car from Maruti Suzuki India Ltd, the co-sponsors of the show. Expressing his happiness, Gupta shared his aspiration to pursue a career in playback singing.
