United Rentals (NYSE:URI) has agreed to buy Yak Access, Yak Mat, and New South Access & Environmental Solutions for $1.1B in cash. Yak, a leader in the North American matting industry, has a fleet of 600,000 mats used in construction and maintenance applications. The acquisition is expected to create a new adjacency for United Rentals' Specialty business and be immediately accretive to earnings per share and free cash flow.
