Senator Linda Reynolds received an apology and $90,000 in damages from the Australian Capital Territory (ACT) government over accusations made by former territory Director of Public Prosecutions, Shane Drumgold. Drumgold claimed Reynolds sought to politically interfere in a police investigation during Bruce Lehrmann's rape trial. The ACT government agreed to a settlement, apologized to Senator Reynolds, and unreservedly retracted the allegations.
