Jake Gyllenhaal, star of the 2021 Road House remake, has expressed his hope that the late Patrick Swayze, who starred in the original 1989 film, would have enjoyed the new version. Gyllenhaal plays a former UFC fighter in the Amazon Prime Video movie, set for release on March 21. The actor has previously worked with Swayze on the film Donnie Darko, and shared fond memories of their time together.
