Prime Minister Narendra Modi chaired a meeting of the Council of Ministers, discussing the "Viksit Bharat 2047" vision and a 100-day agenda for immediate implementation after the formation of a new government in May 2024. The "Viksit Bharat" plan, which involves a whole-of-government approach with all ministries, had been prepared over more than two years and includes wide-ranging consultations with state governments, academia, industry bodies, civil society, scientific organisations, and youth mobilisation.
