Philippines' Aboitiz Power and San Miguel Corp partner to create a $3.3bn LNG facility, aiming to boost energy security and transition towards cleaner power sources.

Philippines' top energy companies Aboitiz Power and San Miguel Corp partner to create a $3.3bn large-scale integrated liquefied natural gas (LNG) facility, aiming to boost energy security and transition towards cleaner power sources. The new facility will receive, store, and process LNG fuel for two power plants, adding over 2,500 MW of generation capacity upon completion. This aligns with the Marcos administration's push for natural gas in the energy mix and aims to provide affordable and competitively priced power to Filipino consumers.
