Three men from Greater Sudbury were convicted and fined $7,605 for spearing walleye during a closed season in Azilda, after conservation officers conducted surveillance in response to public complaints. The trio was caught spearing fish at night, with one man attempting to obstruct officers. Two of the convicted men were also suspended from fishing and had their equipment forfeited to the Crown.
