Indian Navy to commission its first squadron of newly-inducted MH 60R Seahawk helicopters on March 6 at INS Garuda, Kochi. The helicopters, designed for anti-submarine warfare, anti-surface warfare, search and rescue, medical evacuation, and vertical replenishment, will mark a pivotal moment in India's defence modernisation journey. The squadron will be commissioned as INAS 334 and is expected to significantly enhance the Navy's operational capability in the Indian Ocean region.
