Former Stockton Centre in Lower Hunter will be transformed into temporary accommodation for up to 25 homeless individuals. Homes NSW is leading a $2 million 'meanwhile use' proposal to refurbish seven homes, improving five five-bedroom homes, one two-bedroom unit, and one one-bedroom unit. The project will partner with social and affordable housing provider Home In Place. Port Stephens MP Kate Washington, also Minister for Disability Inclusion, expressed her satisfaction with the initiative.
