Trauma lingers long despite new life for child refugees.

Elijah Buol, a former child refugee and now the CEO of international non-profit Act for Peace, shares his experiences of growing up as an orphan during the South Sudanese civil war. Despite finding a new life in Australia, Buol acknowledges that the trauma of his past does not easily fade away. He encourages fellow refugees and survivors of war to transform their painful experiences into sources of strength and resilience.
