39-year-old St. Petersburg man, Barnard Stokes Jr., was arrested for fleeing at 140mph from Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) troopers while driving under the influence. The pursuit ended after a precision immobilization technique (PIT) maneuver was executed. Stokes was charged with fleeing to elude (felony), driving while license suspended (felony), driving under the influence (misdemeanor), and resisting without violence (misdemeanor).
